LTW's Theatre Camps

The Live Theatre Workshop Education Theatre Program is dedicated to creating a safe place for diverse groups of students to express their creativity, learn teamwork, and gain self-confidence and skills that prepare them to be innovative and well-rounded adults.Whether your student is wanting to try theatre for the first time or they are ready to take on a full production, we have a camp for them.

All of our camps are an amazing and intense week of producing, acting, dancing, playing improvisation games, and exploring the technical side of the theatre arts. This is one of the best educational theatre experiences available! Camps are arranged by age and grade level and all skill levels are welcome! All of our instructors are trained to teach in a way that makes the entire experience fun and educational in a safe and low-pressure environment. While students will be very busy learning lines, acting, dancing, building sets, and producing their play; there is plenty of time for acting improvisation and theatre games.

LTW's goal is to focus on the process of putting together a production and building a diverse community of young artists. We feel all students should understand what it takes to put on a show from start to finish with a focus on teamwork, personal responsibility, and thinking outside of the box. On the last day of camp, they will get to show off all their hard work with a showcase for their families.

About Us

The Live Theatre Workshop’s OnStage! Education Department was developed and continues to develop as a center for teaching the theatre arts in a friendly and creative setting. Weekly classes and summer and winter drama day camps are taught by trained, experienced teachers, actors, and directors from the Tucson community. The program ranges from introducing theatre through the process of producing a script all the way to advanced technical and acting roles, as well as internships. The OnStage! Education program is a great place to begin and develop as a theatre artist.
