Tanisha Ray, she/her (Henrietta Leavitt) is excited that her Live Theatre Workshop debut is connected to this powerful play and these extraordinary artists! A published author and licensed counselor, Tanisha’s had the privilege of working on various productions within Arizona’s vibrant artistic community such as THE GARBOLOGISTS, MACBETH, DOUBT, POTUS, PRECIOUS, Arizona Theater Company’s INTIMATE APPAREL (as an understudy), and the award-winning short film, YELLOW ROSE. Tanisha is truly honored to be a part of this beautiful story about the importance of purpose, meaning, and community.

Kaylee Wilson, she/her (Margaret) is thrilled to return to LTW in SILENT SKY. Select credits include Ms. Johnson in THE MINUTES, Mrs. Hubbard in MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS, and Actor 5 / Actor 4 Swing in RADIUM GIRLS. She holds a BA in Theatre Arts from Grand Canyon University. Her performances are dedicated to Jared & Joi Wilson and her loving husband Dawson.

Taylor Swingle, he/him (Peter) has been having a blast in the rehearsals and performances of SILENT SKY. He is a recent graduate of the University of Arizona where he performed in New Directions Festival (2022, 2023, 2025), THE LARAMIE PROJECT (Matt Galloway & others), ARGONAUTIKA (Swing), and VAUD (Devising Ensemble). He also performed in Charles Darwin Experience improv club and has enjoyed a love of improv ever since. He would like to thank his family, friends, fellow cast members, crew and Christina for this amazing opportunity. Enjoy the show!

Zuleyl Castro
Zuleyl Castro, she/her (Annie Cannon) is a born and raised Tucson native whose love for theatre began in the fourth grade. Zuleyl’s recent work includes ANITA with Borderlands Theatre, LATE NIGHT RADIO HOUR with Scoundrel & Scamp, and DEPUTY JAN at Live Theatre Workshop. She is also a former member of the Charles Darwin Experience improv troupe at the UA and teaches improv to middle schoolers. She has also worked with Literacy Connects through their Stories That Soar! program that brings children’s original stories to life onstage. Zuleyl would like to thank her friends and family for always encouraging her creative endeavors.

Kat Basso
Kat Basso (Williamina Fleming) is an actor who holds a BFA from the University of Florida. She was heavily involved with a community theatre troupe in IL for 15 years and has been acting, directing, and teaching workshops for many years. She recently performed in LTW’s, THE MINUTES, and played one of her most memorable and fun characters to date. She has also been seen in Tucson in several of Scoundrel and Scamp Theatre’s productions of RADIO HOURS. Some of her favorite roles have been as Masha in VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE, Bella Manningham in ANGEL STREET, and Margot in DIAL “M” FOR MURDER. She is thrilled to be performing again with LTW and this cast. “I regard the theatre as the greatest of all art forms, the most immediate way in which a human being can share with another the sense of what it is to be a human being.” ― Oscar Wilde
Christina Walker
Christina Walker
Christina Walker (Director) is thrilled to be making her LTW debut with SILENT SKY. No stranger to theatre, Christina earned her BA in Theater at the University of Washington, then taught acting, voice & movement, theatre history, and other drama classes at Pima Community College for more than 12 years. She also acted, directed, and did tech work for theaters in Tucson and Seattle for 17 years; favorite roles include Helena in MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM at PCC (for which she won Best Actress at the Arizona College Theater Festival), Boo in BLUE WINDOW at MetaTheater, and for 7 years was Satan in Borderlands Theater’s beloved A TUCSON PASTORELA (which she went on to direct for 3 years). Christina was also the Director for Tucson’s first production of THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES, which played to a sold-out house at the Rialto Theater. She has worked with Borderlands Theater, aka Theater, MetaTheater, Quintessential Productions, Damesrocket Theater among others; most of which no longer exist, which is a shame. Christina took a break to raise her amazing daughter and is now diving back into the world of theater. Thank you for your support of the arts in Tucson!

Monet Zuniga, she/her (Stage Manager) is excited to be working on Live Theatre Workshop’s production of SILENT SKY. In continuing her work in the community, she has assistant stage-managed for Live Theater Workshop’s production of MURDER AT THE HOWARD JOHNSON’S and THE MINUTES. She has worked on a few different shows for her high school, Salpointe Catholic High School. Where she has stage-managed both INTO THE WOODS, and HADESTOWN; the latter of which performed at the Arizona Thespian Festival, and won full superiors at the National level. Monet has also received a Thespy for her work on the show at the International Thespian Festival. She is thankful for mother’s support and her little dog’s kisses!

Julia Hupp, she/her, is very excited to be a part of this wonderful production! She has been stage managing since high school, and some of her past shows at LTW include DRY POWDER, STONES IN HIS POCKETS, THE WAIT, THE REALISTIC JONESES, and LUCY AND RICKY LIVE. She has also been acting for many years, and some of her past roles were Hamlet in CANNED HAMLET, Wilbur Holmes in THE ADVENTURES OF WILBUR HOLMES: SHERLOCK’S COUSIN, TWICE REMOVED, and Hunyak in CHICAGO. She has been in several of the family shows at Live Theatre Workshop, including THE GREAT ZANTINI AND THE MAGIC THIEF (Regina Renly Rabbit), GOODIES GOONS AND GOBLINS – A HALLOWEEN BASH (J. Parker Pumpkin), and TAKE A HIKE (Jamie). She just graduated from the University of Arizona where she earned her BA in Film and Television. She is thrilled that you came to see the show, and hopes you enjoy it as much as she does!

Jimmy Carr (Set Designer / Set Construction): A visionary Designer, Sculptor, and Musician, Jimmy Carr brings a rare blend of artistry and craftsmanship to every production. His creative journey has taken him across the country and around the globe, shaping spaces with bold imagination and meticulous skill. Whether building immersive worlds or sculpting striking visual moments, Jimmy’s work is always original and always extraordinary.
Richard Gremel
Richard Gremel
Richard Gremel (Lighting Designer/Technical Advisor) has been lighting the LTW stage for the past 17 years. His lighting designs have also been seen on other Tucson stages in the past. He is a graduate of the University of Arizona where he received a B.F.A. in Theatre Education. Richard is the acting and technical theatre teacher at Empire High School. He is the recipient of the Arizona Thespians Teacher of the year (2017-2018 & 2023-2024) and the OnMedia Tucson Arts Hero (2018-2019). Aside from teaching, Richard acts, directs, and writes plays for the LTW stage. He currently has 11 published plays which have been seen all over the United States, Canada, India, Hong Kong, England, Italy, and Australia. www.richardgremelplaywright.com

Michael Zimmerman (Sound Designer) is a recording artist, music director, audio engineer, and private music instructor with over 20 years of teaching experience and more than 35 years of acting and performance experience. He spent 25 years as a touring musician with Honeybeegroove and Kristen Chandler. After graduating from the University of Oregon in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Music Technology, Michael moved to Tucson, AZ. He is the music director for Center for Spiritual Living Tucson, and teaches guitar, piano, voice, drums, percussion, and bass guitar as a master teacher at Music & Arts.

Karin Hupp
Karin Hupp
Karin Hupp (Prop Master) has been the prop master for over eight years; she also does scenic painting and box office. Some of her favorite projects included the wedding cake for ONE SLIGHT HITCH, the hound from BASKERVILLE: A SHERLOCK MYSTERY, and the cookies from FROG AND TOAD. Favorite scenes she has painted include Dorothy Parker’s VICIOUS CIRCLE and the bookshelves in THE COLUMNIST. Karin enjoys working for LTW because it helps her grow as an artist.
Brian McElroy
Brian McElroy
Brian McElroy (Projection Designer) was, essentially, raised on the LTW stage, with his first play there at the age of 6. He has since developed a career in Tucson theatre wearing such hats as lighting/projection designer, sound designer, production manager, stage manager, and actor, and has in the past 13 years run or helped design over 200 Tucson productions. He now runs Monsoon Staging which supports the U of A, small businesses, and nonprofits in Arizona. During the day, he is a published neuroscientist and data scientist. You may have seen him recently in such LTW shows as PUFFS (Ernie Mac et al.) or ROCKIN’ AROUND THE CHRISTMAS TREE (Jingle), or on other Tucson stages in Saguaro City’s MATILDA (Escapologist) or Winding Road’s AMADEUS (Mozart). Thanks as always to family and friends who support his incorrigible need for theatre.
