Volunteer Opportunities
Looking for meaningful volunteer opportunities? Live Theatre Workshop welcomes community members who share our passion for creating exceptional plays in Tucson. Our dedicated volunteers help bring theatre plays in Tucson to life through various roles, from ushering performances to supporting our acting schools in Tucson.
We value our volunteers and ensure rewarding experiences for everyone who joins our creative family. Our volunteer opportunities span across front-of-house roles like ushering, concessions, and box office support; creative support including costumes, props, and set construction; administrative assistance with office tasks and marketing; and facility maintenance and improvement projects.
Each role contributes to making theatre accessible and vibrant in our community. View detailed descriptions of each opportunity below and discover how you can make a difference at Live Theatre Workshop.
Current Roles
Ushers: Do you enjoy the camaraderie at LTW and want to help a local non-profit? We are seeking ushers for our Spring & Summer Season and beyond. If you are interested, please fill out our usher questionnaire here.
Creative: Are you interested in how a show comes together? A volunteer creative job might interest you. These volunteer positions include painting, building sets and costuming.
Administrative: Are you organized and detailed? Consider supporting our back office, where we ensure that ticket sales run smoothly, donors and subscribers are supported, and more.
Facility maintenance: Cleaning and organizing always is a priority. Our performance, backstage and storage spaces are compact and it takes consistent attention to keep them in good shape.
“I appreciate the friendships and community that has grown up around me after ushering for the theatre for more than 10 years. LTW staff value their volunteers, so they retain them.” ~ Barb
